Dragons launch radical away kit

2025 Home kit is launched...

TOxiii 10-30 St Esteve

Hooray !!! A win on the road is one of the best things you can experience in sport and this was a special one against one of our likely long term rivals.

I won't go into TOxiii joining SuperLeague or us getting chucked out and the French league being our only home at this point in proceedings.

Let's just enjoy a heavy win away from home and revel in the local, domestic talent in the squad this season.

Fingers crossed there is a pathway to the first team.

Toulouse (4) 10

T : Sossé, Skoundri

G : Baldy

Saint-Estève XIII Catalan (24) 30

T : Darrelatour, Fernandez Masuaute, Humbert, Lapierre

G : Castany 5

First sight of 2025 training kit

We have first sight of 2025 Dragons merch as the players returned for training yesterday.

The players were sporting an off white shirt with very low gold chevron. The funkiest feature was the Macron logos down the sleeves which reminded me of a 1970s Umbro footy shirt.

The coaches were picture posing in a slate and red looking t-shirt which was also seen as a sweatshirt.

What do you think? does this bode well for the onfield kits?

Albi 16-20 St Esteve

I don't want to curse it but this is turning into a proper good season for us in the domestic comp.

Avignon - St Esteve 18-34

Another great result in what is building into a decent season for Justin and the lads.

New Assistant Coaches

Catalans Dragons have appointed Joel Tomkins and Ryan Sheridan as assistant coaches ahead of the 2025 season.

Thomas Bosc has left his coaching role at Catalans Dragons for a more holistic position at the club.

He will now look at the recruitment of young players and bringing them through to the senior teams at the Stade Gilbert Brutus.

We wish him well in his new position.

St Esteve 38 vs 24 St Gaudens

Another win for the reserves in the Super 13.

Limoux 37-36 Dragons - Domestic French League

Arghhhh

A golden point loss to Limoux was the outcome of this weekends match.

1 win and 1 loss from the two matches to date.

Massive shift for domestic French rugby league

Catalan Media has broken the news that the domestic French rugby league calendar will be moving to summer in a seismic move and change to the season.

Lots of stuff about League 1 and combined competition between clubs in the two nations.

Sounds promising.

I am a bit gutted from the perspective of having all round Catalans rugby to watch, but bigger picture is in play here.

Domestic season starts with a win...
